1. What is your reaction to the text you just read? My reaction to the text I just read was confusing and disgust. In the beginning of the text they are talking about drinking eggs to stay young and get drunk. On the other hand they are talking about host animals. The way the characters are disturbed in the text it's as if some of the characters are not even human. For example T'Gatoi's is described with many limbs and Gan's mother is depicted as yellow and round. The description of "birth" is very vivid especially the part where Lomas is cut open to get the baby grubs out of him. 2.What connections did you make? Discuss the elements of the work with which you are able to connect. To get a better understanding of the story I looked up the cover of the book. From what I can understand from the cover is that humans are mating with insect like creatures. The different families are the different sub species of insect beings while the host animals are humans....

The Order: 1886 Alien Isolation Shadow of Mordor (If you are a Lord of the Rings fan I highly recommend playing this game)

Instead of reading or watching a film I decided to play a game instead called The Order: 1886. After playing The Order:1886 I realized that not everything is as it seems. In this third person, cinematic game you play as the protagonist Sir Galahad, a knight in the Queen's royal guard. The Order is a government task force specialized to keep order within the city and hunt creatures of the night; werewolves, half breeds, and vampires.  When starting the game you are tasked to escape a prison cell. After doing so a flashback occurs which takes the player back a few days prior to sir Galahad's imprisonment. After watching Coraline I felt a tad bit disturbed about the other mother's true intensions. In the beginning of the film Coraline had just moved into her new home and was upset about leaving her friends behind. Similar to children who move a lot Coraline did not want to move and felt that her home town was better than the place her family moved to. On the other hand Coraline's parents showed little to no interest to her because they were always busy working. Children or teenagers can relate tp this because some parents are not home as often as they want to be due to the amount of work they have. During the film Coraline's dad gives her the task of exploring the house. In doing so she stumbles across a tiny locked door that is sealed off on the other side. Later on she goes to the door again and discovers that there's a pathway leading to a different location. The more Coraline traveled to the other side the darker things had become.
